1. General information

AlineaDoc is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy describes how we process your personal data and, most importantly, how we guarantee the confidentiality of your documents.

2. Files in the browser

Comparison of your PDF or Word files runs in the browser: we do not send your files to a third-party server to analyze them.

  • Comparison files: the content of your PDF or Word files is not uploaded to a third-party server for analysis. The result is calculated on your device.
  • Account (optional): if you register, email and password are managed in Supabase for access and usage limits.
  • Analytics (optional): Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics load only if you accept the cookie banner.

3. Data we collect

We only collect the following personal and technical data:

  • Registration data: Email and password (managed through Supabase).
  • Preferences: Account settings and commercial communication preferences.
  • Usage metrics: We collect aggregated and anonymised metric data (number of documents processed, page count, file size) for research, statistical analysis and service improvement. These metrics cannot identify the user or reveal document content.
  • Communications: Emails sent through Google Workspace.

4. Purpose of processing

We process your data to:

  • Manage your registration and access to the platform.
  • Send operational communications (security, service changes).
  • Send commercial communications (news, updates, promotions) only where we have obtained your prior express consent.
  • Improve the service through analysis of aggregated metrics, without accessing the content of your files.

5. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing is performance of the service contract (user registration) and, in the case of commercial mailing, the user's express consent.

6. Recipients and providers

Your account data is stored securely on Supabase. Email communications are managed through Google. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.

7. User rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by sending an email to [email protected].

8. Data retention

Account data will be retained while the user keeps their profile active. Anonymised metrics may be retained indefinitely for historical and scientific product development purposes.
